Strategic Planning
Plan, Execute, and Arrive
A strategic plan is at the core of every successful association. In fact, it is TSO’s policy to start every new relationship with a strategic planning meeting. Even if an strategic plan exists, it is still vital to the success of our relationship to be sure that we are all aligned.
A good strategic plan has the following key components:
- 3 to 5 strategic goals to be met by the association within 5 to 10 years.
- A set of long term objectives that will allow the organization to meet it’s strategic goals
- A set of short term objectives to be met in 1 to 3 years enabling the group to meet its long term objectives
- A complete SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) of both the association itself and its industry
Your association must be addressing the key issues within the industry it serves.
